Types of Slide-Lag®

Slide-Lag® Traction Pads

Authorized Holz stocking distributors carry inventories of standard pads, complete with required retainers, for application by system owners using the “butt seam” or “full width” method. The following descriptions provides you with the types of slide-lag traction pad Holz offers.

Style 5 Slide-Lag® Traction Pads

  • Standard 60 durometer industrial compound for use on drive pulleys
  • Available in 72″ lengths formed to specific pulley diameters
  • Available in special compounds with standard or stainless steel (SS) backing plates
  • Offered in 3/4″ Thick “HUSKY!”
Types of Slide-Lag Holz Rubber

Style 7 Slide-Lag® Edge-Crown® Traction Pads

  • Standard 60 durometer industrial compound for use on drive pulleys
  • 10″ lengths formed to specific pulley diameters
  • Normally used in combination with Style 5 pads to provide a crown on a flat face drive pulley
  • Available in all special compounds and standard or stainless steel (SS) backing plates
  • Offered in 3/4″ Thick “HUSKY!”

Style 9 Slide-Lag® Belt-Saver Protection Pads

  • Made from standard 40 durometer industrial compound for use on non-drive pulleys
  • 72″ lengths formed to specific pulley diameters
  • For special service conditions, select from all special compounds with or without stainless steel (SS) backing plates

Style 11 Slide-Lag® Edge-Crown® Protection Pads

  • Standard in 40 durometer industrial compounds for use on non-drive pulleys
  • 10″ lengths formed to specific pulley diameters
  • Typically used in combination with Style 9 pads to provide a crown on a flat face non-drive pulley
  • Available in the same compounds and backing plate combinations as Style 9 for special service conditions
