Customer Needs Lead to Acquisition for Holz Rubber Company
Holz Rubber Company, a recognized leader in rubber manufacturing and molding solutions, announced today that it has acquired Caliber Industries, as well as assets from Canadian-based Airboss’ Industrial Division. Along with the additional technical expertise and staff, these acquisitions include both injection and compression molding presses along with other essential equipment necessary to better meet customer needs.
“We pride ourselves on offering our customers technical solutions, outstanding customer service and the highest quality products,” said Dave Smith, President of Holz Rubber. “These acquisitions were a logical step in our desire to better serve our customers and build our technical bench strength for the future.”
This strategic move allows Holz to expand its custom molding division by increasing capabilities, capacities, and delivery speed. Additionally, the expertise and capabilities gained will allow Holz to serve a wider variety of customers and industries. Injection molding presses can produce rubber products with a high level of efficiency and precision. Along with its existing compression molding equipment and now the injection molding, Holz can mold rubber into nearly any desired form and compete on a global basis.
Caliber Industries, currently located in Gladstone, Michigan, is in the process of moving to Holz’s manufacturing plant in Lodi, CA. Equipment from Airboss’ Industrial Division will move to the Lodi manufacturing plant from Ontario, Canada in coming months.
